Went to my Kung Fu class tonight. It was a good class. We warmed up a bit, did some drills, sparred a bit and then worked on forms. We did about the same in the intermediate class. But we worked on the two man Chin Na set which was good.

Today I did two workouts. In the morning I did Milo's workout. At night I attended my kung fu school through two classes (1.5 hours)

Milo's workout:
warm up on rower 5 min.
dnamic warm up: high knees, but kicks, lunges
Square drill
X drill
Plyo running
Box jumps
Kinesthetic sense training
Core stability training.

Kung Fu class 1:
Push ups
Wing Chun drills
sparring
Forms work

Kung Fu class 2:
Forms work
Strength conditioning
Stance drills
sparring on cement blocks

I felt good at the end of the day although my legs were very sore. Some great workouts.

Today I rowed for 30 minutes approx. 6220 meters. My form is geting better. My blister is gone. I'm outputting more power with fewer stokes. I'm really liking the rower.

Today I ran about 3.25 miles in Garden of the Gods. Total time was about 34 minutes. My GPS watch said it was about a 9:46 pace. So I'm pretty happy with that considering the trail was covered in snow and footing wasn't great. It was a beutiful day.

Today I went to my Tai Chi Class. It was a pretty good class. My hip is still a little tweaked so I didn't stay for the kung fu class.

Today I ran about 3 miles in 30 minutes. I had some pain in my hip in the begining of the run but it started to feel better about half way through. It was nice to be out running.

Today I rowed over 6000 in 30 minutes. I felt pretty good. My blister is still there and my form is improving. So is the quality of my workout.

Rowed for 30 minutes. 5447 meters. It's kinda funny that I used the words "blistering pace" yesterday because today I have a blister on my right heel from rowing.

I could really feel my abs working. I may do Milo's workout tonight so I can get caught back up.

Tomorrow I'll do some Qi Gong in the morning and then go to Kung Fu class tomorrow night.

Monday, Dec. 5, 2005

This morning I rowed 5015 meters in 31:58 on my new Concept 2 rower. Not a very blistering pace at all but I was pretty much just trying out. I got into a hypnotic groove and the time went by pretty quickly. I know that I worked but I didn't get very sweaty.

Tonight I'll do some intervals and try to get a little more sweaty on it.

I was going to go run with The Incline Club today but didn't because I was injured and we got about 8 inches of snow yesterday.

We also just got our Concept 2 rower yesterday so I'll be working on that for the next few days until my leg feels better.

Today I had 1 hour of Tai Chi Chuan. We started with some push hands, then some QiGong exercises, then we did the form. I feel good with the first section and I finally got through the whole second section. I know parts of the third section but not the whole sequence.

After Tai Chi I had 1 hour of Kung Fu class. We started with some stance drills then did some pad work. (I really like the pad work) Then we did some open hand vs. knife sparring and then regular open hand sparring. I was partnered up with Derick. I really appriciate working with Derick. Anyway, I got hurt when he and I were sparring. Nothing serious but my right knee and hip were a bit tweaked.
